Facade Grant Program

The Canton Main Street Program in partnership with Canton Tourism administers a grant program for downtown property owners seeking to prove the exterior of their buildings. Property owners can apply for up to $2500 in matching grant funds that can be used for a variety of exterior work. All exterior work plans must be approved by the Canton Main Street Program's Design Committee before any funds will be dispersed. In addition, all properties must be in the boundaries of the Canton Main Street Program. To download the application, please see the link below or click here. To learn more, please call 770-704-1548.

The DCA is the coordinating partner with the National Main Street Center. On their website, you will find many services and potential funding sources. The Canton Main Street Program is happy to talk with you if any of these services could be used to support your business downtown. Their website can be found by clicking here.

Cherokee County Historical Society and Arts Center

There are many partner organizations throughout Cherokee County that the Canton Main Street Program works with for various events and programs, however, we have two located downtown. The Cherokee County Historical Society's mission of historic preservation and education is visible through their work to preserve and collect items from our past and display them in the Cherokee County History Museum and Visitors Center. To learn more, please visit their website by clicking here or calling 770-345-3288. The Cherokee Arts Center has been actively involved with promoting the arts in our community with classes, programs, and performances for adults and children, alike. The Arts Center hosts exhibits annually that celebrate local and regional fine artists and craftspeople as well as a special showcase of Cherokee County School students. The Cherokee Arts Center also holds the Canton Festival of the Arts annually in May and an Arts Ball annually in the Fall. The Cherokee Arts Center's website can be found by clicking here.
